The Surgery

As of the 3rd November 2025, appointments at Lochmaben Medical Group are booked using the online consultations tool eConsult. This service is provided by our team to help us address your medical needs more quickly. Please see the Appointments tab above for more information or click on the banner to access the service at the top of the page.

Urgent medical matters are handled by the duty team which comprises ANPs, GP trainees and specialist nurses who are supervised by a senior GP.

Please ensure that your mobile phone is charged and accessible if you are awaiting a callback from the practice. All telephone calls to and from the surgery are recorded for quality assurance and staff training purposes. These recordings are safeguarded by the company’s Data Protection Policy, ensuring full compliance with GDPR legislation. For more details, please see our privacy policy page. It is our practice policy that we cannot leave a voicemail unless the voicemail message clearly identifies the recipient.

Extended hours appointments can be offered at the discretion of a GP partner, between the hours of 0800-0900 Monday-Friday. Please note this on your eConsult and we will endeavour to accommodate this if we are able.

Routine nursing clinics operate Mon-Thurs 09:00-17:00 and Friday 09:00-16:00. Phlebotomy clinics are available daily – these are principally in the morning so tests can be sent to the laboratory at the midday collection.
